Roy Keane will join Jamie Carragher to form part of Gary Neville’s new series The Overlap On Tour which will be screened on Sky Max this summer.
The Overlap with Gary Neville sees prominent names from across football, politics, business and world sport share their stories with the former Manchester United full-back. The success of the podcast has seen it go on the road with the panellist discussing football topics in front of an audience.
The trio will be followed by cameras as they travel to cities across the UK and Ireland, mixing footage from the fan forums where the Sky Sports pundits will be grilled by supporters, along with scenes of them stopping at sites which hold special significance for their careers.
Neville has said of the plans: “With Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher for company, we’ve got great live events lined up for London, Liverpool, Manchester and Dublin.”
It comes in the same week that Keane – who has become a staple on Sky Sports football coverage in recent years – admitted he had turned down playing in Legends matches due to embarrassment over his fitness levels.

Keane retired from playing in 2006 after spending a season at Scottish giants Celtic after leaving Manchester United. He has been involved in coaching and several managerial roles since, including Sunderland and Ipswich.

Speaking to Off The Ball, he said: "I'm not fit. I'm far from fit. My fitness levels are actually very, very embarrassing. Just because I've not put on loads of weight doesn't mean to say I'm fit.
"I wouldn't really be able to do any running. Put it this way, I've been invited a number of times over the last few years to play legends games or whatever you want to call it. I'd find it really difficult because I wouldn't be able to get around. Too many injury problems.
"I try to have a decent diet and I'm obviously weary about putting on too much weight. But I certainly wouldn't be fit enough to go on any sort of run. I do a small bit of cycling but even that - I'm not exactly Sean Kelly."
