Jake Paul has insisted upon a rematch clause in the contract for his long-awaited grudge fight with Love Island star and rival Tommy Fury.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has managed to finally get a deal together to face Fury, with the pair meeting on February 26 in Saudi Arabia after two years of back-and-forth. And should the Brit manage to get the victory and continue his undefeated start as a professional, he will be obligated by their contract to have a second fight.
Paul and Fury both have yet to taste defeat in their boxing careers, with the American standing at 6-0 and his rival at 8-0. They began feuding at the start of 2021 and have twice agreed to fight, with both falling through at late notice due to first a Fury injury and then a visa issue.
Often when a rematch clause is made public, the person on whom it was imposed will claim that it's an indicator that their rival is concerned about the outcome. But a number of social media users, including Paul's fiercest rival KSI, have noted that it's relatively standard for the A-Side fighter in a major main event.
When YouTuber Fox Townley tweeted " Jake Paul has a rematch clause for the Tommy Fury fight... That’s pretty normal [to be honest]. what y’all think?" KSI replied by noting that it is "normal with every big fight."

Paul and Fury went head-to-head on Saturday evening at Wembley Arena ahead of the light-heavyweight world title fight between Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde. Fury appeared in the ring shirtless, and their face-off immediately got physical as the pair were dragged apart.

"He's fought taxi drivers, he has no chin, it's all joke," Paul told Fury as the duo had to be separated by security in the ring moments before the main event. "I'm ending you February 26 and you already know it. You're going to crack under this moment, you're not built for this moment.
Fury, the brother of heavyweight champion Tyson, fired back by saying: "I was beating better people than you when I was 14 in the amateurs., whilst you were messing around on Disney channel so don't come here pretending you're about it when you're not. I am not an MMA fighter, I will school you."
Should this fight fall apart like their last two bouts due to an issue on Fury's end, UFC star and bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry will be drafted in as the replacement opponent. The 31-year-old fought 15 times in the UFC and was once a promising contender at welterweight before moving into bare-knuckle boxing where he is 3-0.
