We've all been there before, or know someone who has - we've left our acrylic nails on longer than the recommended four weeks, and they've grown out and they look rather unsightly, leaving you embarrassed and in need of a trip to the salon as soon as possible.

But what about acrylic toes? It's unlikely you've had those, but one woman decided to leave hers on for 13 weeks and 5 days leaving beauty lovers baffled about how she'd managed to cope as her toenails grew out.

A salon based in Houston, Texas, shared the massive toenail growth on their TikTok account @houstonacrylictoes, proudly showing people how the acrylics hadn't broken.

They captioned the video: "Do your acrylic toes last this long?!", followed by a heart eyes emoji, and the dates the toes lasted from and to - August 4 to November 8.

The toenails were massively overgrown - when the client had them done, it's clear they would've looked neat and fresh, but with the natural nail peeking out of the top, they looked like they needed freshening up and were extremely long, leaving some TikTokers with questions.

"How does she wear shoes?", one curious user wondered, with someone joking: "I mean that's good but for weeks that girl couldn't wear no closed-toed shoes."

Another added: "It's crazy that they've stayed on for so long."

A TikToker joked: "I'm a size 3. No, ma'am, you need a size 7 shoe."

"They must have hurt in shoes", someone pointed out. "If mine are a little too long it's so painful."

Another said that they just trim theirs every two weeks to ensure that this doesn't happen, writing: "Yup! My semipermanent toes last from August to December. I just cut them down every 2 weeks!"

Would you be able to cope with toenails this long? Let us know in the comments.
