A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in west London, police have said.
The suspects, both aged 21, were taken into custody on Sunday, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The victim, named by police as Haruun Hassan, was pronounced dead at the scene in Hounslow in the early hours of June 30, despite the best efforts of paramedics.
Officers had been called at around 1.47am to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road.
They attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and found Mr Hassan with serious injuries.
His next-of-kin continue to receive support from specialist officers, police have said.
“Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this very difficult time,” detective chief inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, said.
“Our investigation is progressing and we have made two arrests, with those people now in custody.
“We continue to ask any witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to Haruun that night to please contact us as soon as possible.”
