COPS have launched an urgent manhunt after two teenage girls were allegedly raped on a popular beach.

Norfolk Police scrambled to South Beach Parade, Great Yarmouth, just after 12.30am on Saturday following reports that two teens were raped.

Cops arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of rape in Northamptonshire on Sunday.

The suspect was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.

Officers are currently hunting for a second suspect and significant efforts are underway to identify and locate him, said cops.

The force described him as a white man with short dark hair, dark facial hair and aged in his 30s or 40s.

He is also understood to have been wearing blue jeans and a dark green jacket with a white stripe on both sleeves, said Norfolk Police.

Chief Inspector Nick Paling, district commander for Great Yarmouth, said: “We recognise how shocking and distressing these incidents are for the victims, their families, and the wider community.

“Specialist officers have been deployed to support both girls as we work through this investigation.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area, with officers carrying out reassurance patrols.
