Millions of people use chopsticks around the world, but for a novice, it's a skill that can feel daunting to perfect. Everyone uses them slightly differently, but there's certainly a knack to the trusty tools. Either way, there's nothing worse than feeling like you've nailed your technique only for your your food to drop back down on your plate.
One TikTok user has gone viral revealing a simple trick that makes using chopsticks far easier. All you need is a napkin and you'll be showing off your skills to your friends or family in no time. TikTok user Alisa, who goes by the username @alisaclare, shared her tip while dining out at Wagamamas and it's left many foodies calling her a genius.
In the clip, Alisa said: "I am ashamed to say that I cannot use chopsticks. I just find them really tricky.
"So this is how I get around that problem."
At this point in the clip, Alisa places her chopsticks side by side facing out from the napkin. She then rolls them up with the napkin so that the napkin basically holds them both together.

She said: "Roll at the napkin then gently squeeze them together."
The end result means the chopsticks won't slip out of your hand as the napkin has stuck them together, making them much easier to hold.
In response, many have been shocked by the nifty hack and can't wait to try it out for themselves.
One person wrote: "This is genius!"
While another said: "Wow, thanks."
A third person was a big fan of the ingenuity and stated: "She is using practice chopsticks but in a smart way, I love it."
Another person was excited to try the hack and said: "I was planning to go to Wagamama this afternoon for my birthday and I just can't use chopsticks so this will be what I do."
