The Brit who won a £10.6m lottery prize has missed their chance to claim the millions.
Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, has today announced that no valid claim was made for the £10.6M Lotto jackpot prize.
The winning Lotto ticket, worth a staggering £10,633,323 was bought in the London Borough of Bexley for the draw on Saturday 4 October 2025.
However Allwyn today said the deadline for the ticket-holder to claim their prize, which expires 180 days after the day of the draw, had passed at midnight on Thursday 2 April.
The player won the huge jackpot by matching all six main numbers (06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59) and, despite widespread coverage in the run-up to the deadline, nobody ever came forward to claim the massive jackpot win.
Prizes that are not claimed within the 180-day deadline are typically transferred to the National Lottery’s Good Causes fund. The prize, and any interest earned, will now be passed on to benefit National Lottery Good Causes, Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn said.
"Despite an extensive search for the mystery Bexley millionaire, I can confirm that the ticket-holder did not come forward to claim their Lotto prize and has now unfortunately missed out on this life-changing sum of money.
“However, the money will now benefit Good Causes and add to the £33M raised each week for National Lottery-funded projects, several of which can be found in the Bexley area.”
The news comes after one lucky Brit claimed the third biggest UK National Lottery win of all time, a player matched all five category main numbers plus the two lucky star numbers to win £181,073,415.70.
The UK ticket-holder scooped the staggering £181m EuroMillions jackpot in the draw on March 10. The player matched all five category main numbers plus the two lucky star numbers to win £181,073,415.70.
