Andrew scandal grows: £100k payments to Beatrice and Eugenie under scrutiny

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been dragged further into the scandal engulfing their father.

An email leaked to the Mail on Sunday showed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, pushed for his daughters to receive £100,000 in secret payments from a billionaire he was helping while trade envoy.

Andrew discussed Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, getting £50,000 each in June 2011 with Jonathan Rowland, the son of his financier pal David Rowland.

The disgraced former Duke of York was apparently due to receive a total of £300,000 from the older Rowland.

It is unclear if the payments were ever made but MPs demanded to know if they were.

Meanwhile, an anti-slavery charity announced its relationship with Eugenie had ended and scrubbed her from its website after emails released by the US Department of Justice laid bare her dad’s close ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew’s younger daughter had been a patron of Anti-Slavery International, the world’s oldest human rights organisation.

The charity once praised Eugenie’s efforts “across the board with leaders in the fight against modern slavery”.

But in a statement, it said: “After seven years, our patronage from HRH Princess Eugenie of York has come to an end.

“We thank the Princess very much for her support for Anti-Slavery International.

“We hope that she continues to work to end slavery for good and deliver freedom for everyone.” There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Eugenie, Beatrice or their mother Sarah Ferguson in connection with late paedo financier Epstein.
