16-year-old girl dies after incident on London tube tracks

A ‘bright, beautiful, clever, and funny’ 16-year-old girl has died after an incident at a London tube station.

Daisy House died at Loughton Underground Station in Essex after emergency services were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks on December 15.

British Transport Police confirmed they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Her family said: ‘On Monday, our beautiful daughter Daisy lost her life.

‘She was a bright, beautiful, clever, and funny girl who had just started Sixth Form and had her whole future ahead of her.

‘We would like to thank all of the emergency services and doctors who worked so hard to save her, especially the British Transport Police officer and paediatric nurses who treated us all with such kindness.

‘We thank everyone who has sent best wishes, kind messages, and floral tributes.’

British Transport Police said: ‘Officers were called to Loughton Underground station just after 2.30pm on Monday (15 December) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

‘Paramedics also attended, however despite their best efforts Daisy sadly passed away later at hospital.’
