Sohail Amiri, 30, who claims to be from Afghanistan, allegedly tried to kiss one of his victims and inappropriately approached two others.
The police initiated an investigation after the three separate attacks were reported in Southampton, Hampshire.
One woman was reportedly targeted while walking along Upper Shaftesbury Avenue just after midnight on Tuesday, November 25.
She was approached by an unknown man who allegedly tried to kiss her, but she bravely managed to push him away.
Hampshire Police stated that two women were also attacked on Westwood Road a month earlier, on September 23.
Amiri allegedly made inappropriate comments and approaches towards the pair.
The force confirmed he has been charged with three counts of sexual assault.
Amiri has also been charged with entering the United Kingdom without permission contrary to Section 24 of the Immigration Act 1971.
In a statement, it said: “Our investigations team have carried out enquiries since then, and we have now charged a man.
“Sohail Amiri, 30, of Highfield Lane, Southampton, has been charged with sexual assault.
“He has also been charged with two further counts of sexual assault, relating to incidents which happened on 23 September…
“… he is alleged to have made inappropriate comments and approaches to two women on Westwood Road.
“Amiri, who said he is from Afghanistan, has been charged with entering the UK without permission contrary to Section 24 of the Immigration Act 1971.”
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
