Manchester Arena bomb plotter Hashem Abedi is expected to appear in court facing three counts of attempted murder after four prison officers were injured at a maximum security prison.
The 28-year-old is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 18 September.
In addition, he faces one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and one count of unauthorised possession of a knife or offensive weapon, following the incident at HMP Frankland in Co Durham on 12 April.
Three prison officers were taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident.
It is claimed they were attacked with hot oil and makeshift weapons in an ambush.
