Chaos at Heathrow: terminal 4 closed due to possible hazardous substance

Authorities stated that a section of a terminal at Heathrow Airport in London was evacuated on Monday due to a potential hazardous material.

A Heathrow spokesperson mentioned that the check-in area at Terminal 4 was closed and evacuated as emergency services attended the scene.

Outside the terminal, crowds of passengers with luggage could be seen as firefighters responded to the situation.

The London Fire Brigade described the evacuation as a precautionary measure.

The airport advised passengers against travelling to the terminal. All other terminals continued to operate.
