Eduardo Camavinga’s agent breaks silence on Arsenal and Chelsea transfer rumours

Eduardo Camavinga is staying at Real Madrid despite shock interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea according to the Frenchman's agent.

At just 20 years of age, Camavinga is widely regarded as one of the most talented young midfielders in world football and boasts experience that defies his years. However, he has found playing time hard to come by at the Santiago Bernabeu this season and as a result has been the subject of speculation touting him with a temporary move away.

The Real Madrid hierarchy appear to be aware of the kind of talent they have on their hands in Camavinga and are by no means interested in bidding farewell to the Champions League winner any time soon.

The rumours suggested he could enjoy a loan spell in England for the remainder of this season, with table-toppers Arsenal thought to be keen on the switch as they continue their search for further midfield cover.

Unfortunately from the perspective of the Emirates faithful and Chelsea who were also linked, Camavinga's agent Joshua Barnett has told journalist Fabrizio Romano his client is not leaving the Spanish capital this month despite his limited minutes under Carlo Ancelotti.

"There’s no truth. Of course every club in the world would want him, but he’s very happy in Real Madrid and Real Madrid are very happy with Camavinga," Barnett explained.

It must be said that for all of the excitement Camavinga's arrival in North London would inspire, he could be faced with exactly the same problem at Arsenal as the one he finds himself in now.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have formed a partnership in the middle of the park so formidable they are yet to actually taste defeat as a duo in the league this term.

Arsenal's only league defeat came at the home of Sunday's opponents Manchester United in a clash that Partey missed through injury.

While Camavinga is incredibly gifted, it seems unlikely that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would be willing to break up a partnership that has worked so well for his side thus far this term.

It is a slightly different situation for Chelsea, where Camavinga could realistically expect more game-time considering the desperate situation the Blues find themselves in.

Graham Potter's men languish as low as 10th in the table and boast a midfield that is hardly pulling up any trees, with the likes of Jorginho, Matteo Kovacic and Conor Gallagher all struggling to help turn the tide on what has been a miserable campaign to date.
