Baby trafficking network to Singapore uncovered in Indonesia

According to the police, Indonesian authorities have arrested 12 people accused of running a baby-trafficking ring between Indonesia and Singapore, according to police.

The criminal network, which has allegedly operated since 2023, is believed to have trafficked at least 24 babies, according to a statement from West Java Regional Police. Six babies, all between two and three months old, were rescued during the operation.

The investigation began after a parent reported a child kidnapping. Authorities uncovered the network after one suspect was arrested and confessed to trafficking infants.
