On June 21, Disneyland Paris was scheduled to host a private wedding ceremony. However, upon the arrival of the "bride," it was revealed that she was a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl.

As a result, approximately 100 guests were denied entry, and the event was immediately canceled, reported by Leparisien.

According to the prosecutor’s office in the town of Meaux, four individuals were detained in connection with the incident — including the “groom,” a 22-year-old British man, the 41-year-old mother of the child, and two Latvian nationals. They are currently under investigation for fraud and money laundering.

An investigation, including a medical examination of the minor, found no signs of abuse or coercion. Authorities concluded it was a staged event. The “groom” claimed during questioning that the ceremony was intended as a performance for a video, as he runs a production company.

Disneyland representatives confirmed the wedding was canceled as soon as irregularities were detected.

“Upon discovering serious violations, our staff acted immediately. Law enforcement was called to the scene, and we are fully cooperating with the investigation. An official complaint has also been filed.”

Witnesses, including park employees, were reportedly shocked by the situation.

“We all thought it was a real wedding… It was strange to see something like that. Disneyland responded very quickly and canceled everything the moment they realized the bride was a child,” said one bystander.

The British man and one of the Latvian suspects remain in custody on suspicion of fraud and money laundering.
