Escape from HMP Hatfield: UK police searching for dangerous fugitive
Liam Slater, 33, absconded from HMP Hatfield and was last seen boarding a train to Leeds on May 18 - police are yet to find him and have asked members of the public not to approach him
Police are urging members of the public to help them track down an inmate who absconded from prison and was last seen boarding a train to Leeds.
Officers have asked people not to approach 33-year-old Liam Slater and instead call 999. South Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "We’re asking for your help to find wanted man Liam Slater. Slater, age 33, of HMP Hatfield, is wanted in connection with escaping lawful custody in Doncaster."
On May 18, at 6.13pm, Slater absconded from HMP Hatfield and was last seen boarding a train to Leeds at Stainforth station at 8.46pm. Officers said: "We want to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to Slater recently, or knows where he may be staying.
