At least 11 individuals have been shot in Fairmount Park, a large recreational park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, marking one of the deadliest shootings in the city this year.
Three children are among the victims of a mass shooting at a park in Philadelphia, police have confirmed.
Emergency services descended on Fairmount Park, a large park in the city centre after at least 11 people were shot. At least two of these people have died, although police are yet to confirm if any - or all - of these are the children. These are aged 15, 16 and 17, police confirmed.
Police have told reporters the shooting happened following a car meetup and, as the chaos unfolded, one person was hit by a vehicle. They have been dashed to hospital, in addition to those with gunshot wounds.
Television station WPVI, which is affiliated with ABC News, reports the shooting happened on Lemon Hill Drive at Poplar Drive ar around 10.30pm Monday night local time (3.30am in the UK). However, it also reports it is unclear if anyone is in custody for the shooting.
Footage, said to have been taken from a helicopter, shows a large police presence in Fairmount Park, which, having opened in 1812, is the largest municipal park in Philadelphia.
