British blogger Ashley Stobart has faced an unexpected problem: after undergoing plastic surgery, airport security systems no longer recognize her passport photo, and she’s being denied passage.

She shared her experience on an episode of her podcast Nip Tuck, posted on Instagram.

35-year-old British influencer Ashley Stobart has encountered an unexpected consequence of her love for plastic surgery: airport systems no longer recognize her identity based on her documents.

“My face—because so much work has been done on it—doesn’t get through the gates,” she complained, referring to the electronic passport control barriers that automatically match a passenger’s face to their ID photo.

Stobart, a mother of one who is married to a businessman worth $24 million, openly admits to having undergone numerous cosmetic procedures. Her list includes rhinoplasty, a facelift and brow lift, and lip reshaping. While she says she feels like a completely new woman, the transformation has brought unforeseen complications.

“They stopped me and said, ‘This isn’t you. Do you have any other documents?’ They asked for credit cards with my name on them,” Stobart recalled.

The British woman also noted that security staff were visibly shocked when they saw the difference between her passport photo and her real-life appearance.

“One of them straight-up asked, ‘What the hell?’ — and I honestly listed it all: nose job, brows, lips, and a facelift,” she said.

Although the transformation gave her a boost in confidence, traveling has become significantly more difficult. According to her, every flight now involves extra screening and the need to prove her identity through alternative means — including bank cards, online profiles, and even old photographs.
