About 200 passengers aboard a Delta Air Lines plane evacuated by slide as the aircraft caught on fire on a runway.
The engine of Flight 1213 burst into flames at Orlando International Airport on Monday morning.
Flight crew deployed emergency slides and a video showed passengers sliding down onto the tarmac.
Another video showed flames coming from the right side of the plane near the wing.
All passengers were evacuated from the Delta Air Lines plane
All of the passengers on the Airbus A330 got out safely and no injuries were immediately reported.
Delta Air Lines did not immediately respond to a request for comment form Metro.
The fire ignited in the tailpipe of one of the two engines, the airline told WKMG.
‘We appreciate our customers’ cooperation and apologize for the experience,’ stated Delta Air Lines.

‘Nothing is more important than safety and Delta teams will work to get our customers to their final destinations as soon as possible.’
The airport stated that ‘the fire was contained and is out’ and that ‘some passengers were evacuated via an emergency slide’.
The plane was scheduled to take off from the Florida airport at 11am to Atlanta.
Delta stated that it would ‘bring in additional aircraft to help get customers to their final destinations’ and that its maintenance team would inspect the plane.
In addition to the passengers, two pilots and 10 flight attendants were on board.
The incident comes after numerous aviation disasters and scares in the US.
