Two men have been found guilty of a "carefully planned" murder of a father of four shot dead outside his home.

Mohammed Haroon Zeb, 39, died in Queens Cross, Dudley just after 12.30am on January 31, 2021. Police said the shooting was the result of a feud between two families, originating in 2018.

He was killed by Hassan Tasleem, 25, of Richmond Road, Dudley, and Gurdeep Sandhu, 25, of Blowers Green Road, Dudley.

Zeb, the owner of a taxi firm, had pulled up outside his home moments before he was shot by a revolver in possession of a passenger, Tasleem, in a Volkswagen Golf driven by Sandhu.

Tasleem and Sandhuwer were found guilty of murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and perverting the course of justice.

Following the convictions, Mr Zeb's family said: "For nearly two years, we as a family have struggled to accept the loss of our Zeb. We thank the police for their tireless work."

it is not known why Zeb was specifically targeted in the killing and he was not actively involved in the feud, according to police.

Police said the gun has not been recovered, and the vehicle involved in the shooting was given false paste plates before it was eventually recovered in Telford, Shropshire.

A police spokesperson said: "Detectives carried out extensive enquiries in the pursuit of justice and our evidence was that the gun was in the hands of Hassan Tasleem while Gurdeep Sandhu was the driver of the car and involved in the plot.

"The vehicle was on false plates and went off the radar until it was later recovered in Telford.

Shamraz Ali, 21, of Tanfield Road, Dudley, was found guilty of preventing the course of justice.

All three men have been remanded in custody to await sentencing.

Detective Superintendent Jim Munro, who led the murder investigation, said: "This was a carefully planned killing and children have lost their father forever. Nothing can ever take away that pain.
