Jamie Chadwick will remain part of the Williams Driver Academy as she takes the next step of her racing career, the team has confirmed.
The Briton has made a name for herself in motorsport having competed in a number of different categories. Most notably, she won the W Series title in all three seasons she spent racing in the championship.
Having completed that hat-trick, Chadwick will take the next step of her career this year in the US. She will compete for the Andretti team in the Indy NXT championship – the feeder series for IndyCar – as she switches back to mixed-gender racing again.
Even though Chadwick is moving to a new series across the pond, Williams have now confirmed that they will continue to support the 24-year-old. "We're very excited to have Jamie continuing as a core part of our driver academy at Williams Racing," said academy chief Sven Smeets.
"She's an incredibly talented driver and an important role model in inspiring the next generation of females in motorsport. We look forward to supporting her in 2023 while she takes on the new challenge in Indy NXT."

Chadwick added: "To be continuing my relationship with Williams is amazing, I’ve had their support since 2019. Having the opportunity to immerse myself within the team and keep that Formula 1 dream alive is very important. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together."
Chadwick is a triple W Series champion (Getty Images)Williams are in the midst of transition, with James Vowles coming in as their new team principal next month. The man he is replacing, Jost Capito, recently confirmed to Mirror Sport that Williams were planning to continue supporting Chadwick.
"It's great to see Jamie moving to the US and taking on something new. She is moving on to a series with really high competition, and we will see how she gets on with that," said the German.
"We're really excited for her – she has our support, so let's see. She has to go up the ranks and her dream is still to get into Formula 1. As long as she keeps improving she has our full support as well, so let's see where she can end up."
