Poached eggs add an extra layer of deliciousness to your breakfast and are considered the most sophisticated of the egg group, but they can be a nightmare to cook.

It's highly frustrating when you can't seem to nail them like chefs do in trendy breakfast hotspots. But, rather than heading out and spending a fortune to get those dreamy eggs on buttery toast, a genius woman has come up with the ultimate hack for "perfect" poached eggs.

London resident Alice says it takes her less than 4 minutes to make the "perfect poached eggs every time". One individual hailed her trick as the "best hack I've ever seen" after she shared her method on her TikTok page @lifeof.alice.

Alice uses a frying pan to make her poached eggs. She boils water before placing a sieve into the pan. She cracks an egg into the sieve and leaves it there for three and a half minutes. She then pulls the sieve out of the boiling water and is left with a perfect poached egg.

Alice likes to place her egg on top of a rice cake and sprinkle chives on top. She then cuts through the middle of the egg to reveal the gooey centre of her "fool proof poached eggs".

Commenting on the video clip, one individual described the hack as "life changing". "That's the best hack I've ever seen," added another. "Now that looks sexy," added another TikTok user. You can pick up a pack of three sieves from Amazon for just £7.99.

However, Alice also explained in another video that if you don't have a sieve, you can use the same method but use a ladle.

The life hack content creator previously shared how she managed to make a perfect fried egg too. She cracks an egg into a hot frying pan and when the edges of the egg turn white, she uses a pan lid to finish it off. She wets the underneath of a transparent pan lid, before carrying it over to the pan where she turns the lid over so the water falls into the pan. She then places the lid on the pan. Seconds later, a perfect fried egg is formed.
