Emmerdale fans were left begging the show's producers to make big changes after 'switching off' over some karaoke scenes which aired tonight

Emmerdale fans threatened to 'switch off' tonight as the soap aired some karaoke scenes.

Gail was fronting a special karaoke session in the Woolpack tonight, but fans were left threatening to switch off the soap tonight as the likes of Mandy Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield took to the mic too. Gail was giving out free drinks to those who were brave enough to take to the stage, but the scenes left fans all saying the same thing.

During the scenes, Vanessa used the moment to try and win her partner Suzy back, with the pair having split up before she moved to Canada. Tonight, Mary - who has taken a liking to Suzy - was devastated to see the pair seemingly get back together.

However, it was the karaoke that left fans distracted, with one writing: "Omg Gail!!! Shut up singing #Emmerdale." A second added: "Swirling needs to bust down the saloon doors and arrest Gail for crimes against music #Emmerdale," with a third person sharing: "Just had to leave the room to have my ears rearranged after that dubious karaoke performance #Emmerdale."

Vanessa was desperate to win Suzy over

Actress Michelle Hardwick previously teased there would be a love triangle ahead for Vanessa, Suzy and Mary. Speaking about what's to come, she shared: "Vanessa's back now and where we left it, relationship wise, we left it on a on a very positive note with Suzy. Even though they weren't together, they left and had a little kiss, it was all very lovely.

"Obviously, Vanessa's coming back to the village and Vanessa is totally unaware of maybe a potential relationship between Suzy and Mary, who Vanessa sees as a mother figure. Vanessa is totally oblivious to this. I think Vanessa's going to try and maybe get her relationship back on track with Suzy, whether Suzy wants to or not, you know, we'll just have to wait and see."

Michelle returned to the soap recently as part of the Rhona and Ivy storyline, after the actress went on maternity leave. Speaking about being back on the soap, she said: "It is absolutely fabulous.

"I've not realised how much I've actually missed the place. I'm loving it and it actually feels like I've never been away, even though it's 14 months. I was worried about not being able to learn lines but luckily they have gone back in."
