Sharon Osbourne's team fires back at Celebrity Big Brother whopping pay claims

Sharon Osbourne's team have denied the iconic star was paid a whopping £500,000 for her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.

It was recently reported that the 71-year-old former X Factor star is picking up £500,000 for her appearance, even though she won't be in there for long. In the house, she was joined by close friend and fellow former X Factor judge Louis Walsh, which delighted fans as they watched their reunion.

He is thought to be getting paid around £500,000 but will potentially have to stay in the house for three weeks unless he is voted out. The duo joined the likes of Nikita Kuzmin, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Levi Roots, Zeze Millz, Gary Goldsmith, Colson Smith and many more.

Sharon is a special guest on the show and is only taking part in the rebooted series for a couple of days. It comes after reports claimed ITV bosses couldn't afford to keep the straightforward star, who is married to Black Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne, in for longer. A representative for the star shut down claims she was earning £100,000 a day for her short stint and said it was 'not true.'

Earlier this week, an insider spoke to the Mirror and said Sharon made a 'special deal' with the show's bosses as she didn't want to do the entire run of it. The show insider said: "Sharon didn't fancy the full slog on the show and she knew how much the bosses wanted her so she made a special deal. She isn't staying for the full show but is still taking home one of the biggest pay cheques." ITV insiders said she was top of their list to ensure the new series "has The X Factor " and gets off to a bright and exciting start.

After Sharon made her entrance into the house, fans rushed to social media to demand bosses pay her the full fee in order to keep her in the house for longer. One keen user commented: "For god's sake ITV need to pay Sharon Osbourne whatever she wants to make sure she stays in this house longer than a week….. we cannot lose her."

"Pay Sharon her full fee, you paid Farage £1.5 million you cowards @ itv," another user said, pointing out Nigel Farage's pay for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" One excited viewer demanded: "Big brother please pay Sharon whatever she wants to stay full time."
