Celebrity Big Brother's Louis Walsh asks Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith about Meghan Markle in upcoming scenes.
The highly-anticipated series returned to TVs on Monday night, with the likes of Louis, Gary, Sharon Osbourne, Colson Smith, Bradley Riches, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Levi Roots and more entering the Big Brother house. Despite the show only recently returning, Gary sparked a mixed reaction from viewers over his royal family ties.
On Tuesday's episode of the show, former The X Factor judges Louis and Sharon discuss the royal family with Gary - who is the younger brother of the Princess of Wales's mother, Carole. Louis, 71, bravely asks the multi-millionaire businessman: "Is it difficult for you... Being related to famous people?"
The 58-year-old businessman responds: “I didn’t vote for it, it happened to me, and then suddenly there’s a spotlight on you.” He then continues with a cheeky quip: “They call me the buncle! Have you heard of a buncle? Bad uncle, apparently every family has them.”

The businessman, who has been criticised by Charity Women's Aid for his involvement on the show, said he thinks William and Kate are the "saviour of the royal family."

Louis presses: “I have to ask you, have you met Meghan Markle?” Making his debut on Celebrity Big Brother on Monday night, Gary sparked a mixed reaction from viewers as some were over the moon to see him enter the house alongside Sharon and Louis, while others hit out at the star for trying to "make money off his family ties".

He's in that house to make money off his family ties." Another echoed: "There always has to be someone who is related to the Royal family in the house, but why does it have to be Gary Goldsmith."
However, others chimed that Gary was exactly the kind of energy the Celebrity Big Brother house needed. "Everyone hates on Gary Goldsmith but I think he's lovely. He can't help that he's related to Kate Middleton guys - and he speaks so highly of her. Love his energy," they enthused.
Before heading into the famous house, Gary explained that he was there to fulfil a goal for himself ahead of turning 60. He also insisted that he isn't the "bad guy" and hopes that viewers can change their preconceived perception of him.
