Woman who asked couple with screaming baby to leave bar sparks debate

A woman has sparked a furious debate about who is in the wrong after a video emerged of her telling a couple with a crying baby to leave a bar they were all in. The unidentified customer in a white coat can be seen approaching the parents of the child and telling them they’re “idiots” for taking the baby to a bar.

In the clip, the woman can be heard telling them, “You’re 22, get out,” to which the mother replies that she’s 27. Undeterred, she tells them “get your baby out of the bar”. As the mother tells her they’re just getting their bill, she proceeds to tell them they’re idiots and asks why they think it’s OK to bring a baby into a bar.

She continued: “Why would you do that to this poor kid?” Despite the baby crying in the background, she’s assured her that he’s having “fun”. Unconvinced, she tells them it’s clear he’s not having fun and once again calls them idiots for taking the child to a bar.

Believed to have happened in Texas, US, things get more heated as the woman gets increasingly angry, swearing at the couple and their friends and telling them to get out of the venue. Eventually, another customer and a member of staff step in to break things up and tell the ranting woman to leave or they will call the police.

Shared on X, formerly Twitter, the shocking video left people divided over who was in the wrong. One person wrote: “A kid doesn’t belong in a bar but her approach to the situation is also wrong.” Someone else added: “She’s not *annoyed by the baby crying* she’s annoyed by a mom *keeping her overtired baby away from home/bed* — very different from someone complaining about a baby *existing in public*.”

Another person agreed, writing: “Team lady in the white coat. No babies in bars.” However, one person replied: “Many bars/sports bars are also eating establishments. The girl holding the baby doesn't seem intoxicated to me. The woman calling the child "her f**king kid" has had about 3 or 4 more than she should have.” Someone else penned: “Anyone getting upset at babies is lame. You are not that important sit down. Buy your own bar and you can make rules.”
