Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith could spill all the beans about the Royal Family in the Celebrity Big Brother house this week.

The multi-millionaire businessman, who is the brother of Kate's mum Carole Middleton, is set to make his reality TV debut on the ITV show after reportedly being in the Princess of Wales' family's bad books. Her family is said to be furious at him for agreeing to take part and fear he could blab family secrets to his housemates.

The 58-year-old has reportedly vowed to discuss all topics while in the house, which has pleased show bosses. But viewers can expect him to favour some members of the Royal Family over others. Every time he has previously found himself in the spotlight, Gary has stood up for his niece Kate and Prince William.

Those close to him have insisted he will only speak fondly of Kate. A source told The Sun: "He wants to defend his family. Gary wouldn't do anything to embarrass Kate or William, who he thinks a lot of." While he will not speak negatively of Kate and William, he could give a brief insight into the Princess' health and well-being after her recent op in hospital.

Gary may also know more about the King's recent health scare and cancer diagnosis than the general public, but viewers can expect to hear very little about Charles and Queen Camilla, as he has never spoken of them in public before. His Majesty has also made it clear that he has chosen to keep the type of cancer he has private.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle however, are more likely to be slated by the star and he could share his opinions about the couple's lifestyle choices and family feuds after their move to the US. The source told the publication that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "are more than likely going to be in the firing line as Gary has made no secret about how little he likes them".

Last year, Gary publicly blasted Harry and Meghan following the release of the duke's memoir Spare. In October, Gary said of the autobiography: "I'm particularly appalled by his vile confection of half-truths and complete fabrications because Kate is my adored niece." He went on to say: "Kate is self-sufficient, resourceful and extremely capable... She is not a drama queen."

In December, it was rumoured that Gary was finishing a tell-all memoir to "set the record straight" about some of the things Harry wrote about in Spare. It was claimed by an unnamed source who spoke to New magazine: "He did originally plan to focus the book on himself and his journey to becoming a millionaire, but he will now add in some private family details."

Over the weekend, it was reported Gary had been read the riot act by his sister Carole and her husband Michael. After the final series of Netflix's The Crown was released, Gary defended Carole and the Middleton family and described them as "too classy". It came as the show suggested Carole had schemed to get Kate closer to William.

When asked if he thought Carole would watch it, he said: "I think the family is a bit too classy to watch stuff like that. But I would say, there's probably someone taking notes, and saying, 'They've said this'." Gary may also give more insights into the differences between The Crown and the Royal Family in real life, as he has spoken publicly about this before.
