King Charles is "not obligated" to include Prince Harry in his will after their bitter estrangement.

The father and son had not spoken in months, following the release of Harry’s explosive memoir Spare in January last year. The Duke of Sussex attended Charles’ coronation in May but had not been in touch with his father until the monarch's birthday in November when he reportedly spoke with him over the phone. Their estrangement continued until earlier this month, when it was announced Charles had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer, and contacted his son personally to inform him of the news.

Harry immediately boarded an overnight flight to be by his father’s side, but it was reported that his brief meeting at Clarence House - which lasted just under 45 minutes - wasn’t enough to mend their fractured relationship. According to In Touch, Charles now feels under pressure to cut his son out of his will, and is being encouraged to do so by his eldest son, Prince William.

A source told the publication that Harry’s reunion with Charles was a "business-like transaction", and things were "awkward and tense" during their meeting. Harry left feeling "hurt", and while Charles was touched by his youngest son’s gesture, he has been "reminded" by his wife Camilla and William that Harry is no longer part of the Royal Family, and should be treated as such.

"Charles is not obligated to leave Harry anything, and Camilla and William are urging him not to - they see the Sussexes as greedy fame-seekers who can’t be trusted," the source claimed. The Prince of Wales, as well as his wife Kate Middleton, are reportedly concerned Harry is trying to claim a piece of the billion-pound crown estate, but the father-of-two was cut off financially by his father when he and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working royals and relocated to the US.

The palace insider also claimed that Harry received nothing from his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, when she died in September 2022, and it’s expected he won’t be a beneficiary when his father Charles passes away, Instead, it has been suggested William would be included in his will, as well as his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Harry’s efforts to reconcile with Charles have "fallen flat", and the Duke still feels "brushed aside" after being cut off by his father.

The source alleged Harry is now "starting to realise" that giving up his life as a royal has come at a huge personal cost, and he was "quickly reminded" of his estrangement with his family when meeting with Charles earlier this month. "The consequences have been deeply felt," they added.
