Sharon Osbourne originally turned down the chance to appear on Celebrity Big Brother, one of the star's pals has revealed.
The former X Factor judge, 71, is set to enter the famous house as a special guest at some point this month, joining her old co-star and friend Louis Walsh, who will be entering as a regular contestant when the ITV series premieres on Monday night.
Sharon and Louis were known for their controversial behavior and comments during their time on The X Factor, but ITV has increased its duty of care measures since they last appeared on the show in 2017 - with both stars undergoing "respect and inclusion" training ahead of their Celebrity Big Brother stint.
Amid the news Sharon has been taught about respect and inclusion, one of the mum-of-three's friends has revealed that there is a list of words she's banned from saying when appearing on The Talk on TalkTV

We were out for drinks after one of her shows in London and she said to the person, in front of me, 'Nah, it’s not for me, not for me, Big Brother" and then bang, now she’s in," presenter JJ Anisiobi confessed on TalkTV.

JJ continued: "But funny about the respect and inclusion, because often Sharon is on The Talk with me, Monday to Friday 6pm on TalkTV, and we gave her a list of words she’s not allowed to say which I can’t tell you, but you can imagine all the naughty words that Sharon Osbourne would say - so she’s used to having a bit of guidance."
Louis and Sharon's training will ensure they understand what is considered acceptable "use of language and behavior" before the series begins on Monday. Louis, 71, has previously apologized for comparing a black singer to Lenny Henry in 2010 and made Dannii Minogue cry on the judges' panel in 2008.
Sharon, 71, threw water over Louis in 2005 when he asked if she was taking her husband Ozzy's drugs. She also famously fell out with fellow judge Dannii, who claimed Sharon had to be removed from her dressing room for "screaming and swearing" before filming. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2007, Sharon pointed to her backside when asked what Dannii looked like. "I'm going to get into so much trouble," she joked after mimicking the Aussie pop star.
In 2021, Sharon left the American show The Talk after an 11-year stint following a row around race when she supported broadcaster Piers Morgan's comments on Meghan Markle. Her co-host, Sheryl Underwood whos 60, accused her of validating "racist" views and as a result, CBS took the show off air to conduct an investigation.
The first rebooted series of Celebrity Big Brother will see Fern Britton and Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith as part of the cast. All cast members have undergone behaviour training before entering the house. ITV made it clear ahead of last year's regular series that was won by Jordan Sangha, that: "Housemates are provided with and talked through the Housemate rules, which set out expectations and explain key aspects of life in the Big Brother House."
