Meghan Markle may no longer be a working royal but there was one key suggestion she made which highlighted her "fresh" approach to her old role, a royal expert has explained.

Prior to Megxit, the Duchess of Sussex was said to have thrown herself into her royal duties - even if those behind the scenes thought it may have all been for show. And her business way of thinking was clear to see in a specific meeting following the Grenfell Tower tragedies which left over 70 people dead.

Expert Robert Jobson discussed how the former actress showed keen enthusiasm while talking to the community and gave them a brilliant idea to support their work.

Speaking to The Sun, Jobson said: "The enthusiasm in which she embraced the Grenfell community kitchen and suggested they make a cook book, which was amazing and of course flew off the shelves all around the world. She brought a lot of energy and fresh approach to the whole royal thing."

However, Jobson claimed he was also aware that despite all of her potential being shown in public, some of those on the inside believed she was "constantly casting herself a victim" and alleging she wasn't welcome and was looking for a "way out from the very beginning".

His comments come as a royal source also claimed Meghan had once whispered "don't I have a voice" under her breath at a royal event. She reportedly muttered the question at an event with her husband, Princess Kate and Prince Willian, Mail on Sunday columnist Sarah Sands claimed in 2020.

It's said to have happened as the formerly dubbed "Fab Four" were involved in a broadcast. The journalist claims the microphone was passed from William to Kate and then Harry with Meghan reportedly then 'icily' asking: "Don't I have a voice?" It was reported that despite her muttering the sentence, those close by were able to hear her complaint.

Meghan recently announced she will be back in the podcast world following her hasty exit from Spotify. Earlier this month she confirmed she had joined Lemonada to continue her "love of podcasting". The new partnership will see the podcast network distribute the first season of Meghan's podcast Archetypes for all audio platforms.
