Harry’s swipes at William and Charles in new documentary 'were not intentional'

Prince Harry’s apparent swipes at Prince William and King Charles in his new mini-documentary "were not intentional", an expert has claimed.

A new Prince Harry documentary started streaming on the Disney-owned platform Hulu over the weekend. The documentary features segments of the Duke's recent Good Morning America interview, which he gave while in Canada recently.

The Hulu documentary, which has been put together by ABC News, also features a slew of experts weighing in on Prince Harry and how he founded the Invictus Games, how his brother William is "jealous of its success", with them also brushing over his departure from the Royal Family and how the King has "no bond" with Archie and Lilibet.

"I think there was a degree of jealousy about how well it had gone," Robert Jobson said on the programme, adding: "I do think that William was surprised how much it had been such a success, and how much money had been thrown into it, and how many governments were getting involved."

Mr Jobson also went on to say that he believes Charles has "no relationship" with Archie and Lilibet due to the long distance between them. "Unfortunately for the King, there is really no relationship between the King and his grandchildren because he hasn't had the opportunity to forge that relationship," he explained in the documentary.

But despite the swipes at the Royal Family from the new documentary, public relations guru Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told us: "I don’t believe it is a PR stunt by Harry himself to include the ‘jealous’, Willian swipe and how Charles doesn’t have a relationship with Harry’s kids."

She added: "Also the interviews used in the documentary are from across many years and at some point Harry’s relationship with his family will have been at an all time low and he’s probably said things in interviews that he has perhaps thought better of afterwards and thought maybe I shouldn’t have said that, or perhaps it was construed in the wrong way."

Touching on the lack of relationship the King has with his grandchildren, Lynn said: "While it isn’t new news that King Charles doesn’t have a relationship with grandchildren and that there is rivalry between the brothers. It is likely that these things have been used in the trailer as ‘juicy’, parts to hook viewers in by making it sound like Harry has made new comments about his family.

"This is a normal way to promote a TV show, you want viewers to tune in and if they think it is going to be juicy, they’ll tune in. And, let’s not forget the Americans love anything to do with the British Royal Family. However, on the whole it is a positive documentary," she concluded.
