King Charles reportedly has “no bond” with his youngest grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet for a heartbreaking reason.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the US after stepping down as senior working royals in January 2020, and since then, have barely returned to the UK with their two children. The last time Archie and Lilibet were in London was back in June 2022, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned for the late Queen Elziabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. It’s believed that’s the last time Charles saw his grandchildren, and according to a royal commentator, the monarch has been given no chance to form any bond with them.
Author Robert Jobson made the claim in Prince Harry’s new Hulu documentary, Prince Harry's Mission: Life, Family and the Invictus Games, and he believes Charles has “no relationship” with Archie and Lilibet due to the long distance between them. “Unfortunately for the King, there is really no relationship between the King and his grandchildren because he hasn't had the opportunity to forge that relationship,” he explained in the documentary.

I know he spends a lot of time when he gets the chance with William's children, George, and Louis, and I'm sure he would spend as much time if he could if Harry and Meghan were based in England. But they're not. So, I just don't think there is any particular bond between them,” Robert continued.

He made the revelation during a 20-minute sneak peek at the exclusive documentary, which focuses on his unexpected interview with ABC News during his and Meghan’s recent trip to Canada. Harry briefly spoke about his father’s recent cancer diagnosis, and said he was planning on returning to the UK regularly to see his estranged family. While he failed to visit his big brother Prince William and Kate Middleton during his trip earlier this month, it has been reported Harry will be returning to London soon, and bringing his children.

Meghan stayed at their Montecito mansion with their two children, as Harry made the frantic dash to see his father at Clarence House. However, their meeting lasted just 45 minutes, and the 39-year-old prince was seen boarding a flight home less than 24 hours after he arrived in the UK.
According to reports, Harry is set to return to London with Meghan, Archie and Lilibet, in an effort to repair the rift between him and his estranged family. A source told GB News that the duke intends for his kids to spend time with their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. “Harry wants to spend more time in the UK and bring the children over to be with [Charles] and their cousins, but he will have to prove himself first. That's been made very clear to him,” the source explained.
