The Philadelphia Eagles are shaking things up with a brand new coaching team for the 2024 season, as confirmed by head coach Nick Sirianni.

The Eagles didn't have the best end to their last campaign, losing in the playoffs after a 32-9 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January. At the start of the regular season, they looked like one of the top teams for the Super Bowl, winning nine out of their first 10 games.

But then their luck changed, and they only managed one win in seven games at the end of the regular season. They then lost against the Buccaneers, which capped a disappointing run for Sirianni.

Sirianni is ready for a change and has quickly made decisions about his coaching team. The big names joining the team include defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

There are more new faces too. Christian Parker is joining as passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach, and Clint Hurtt is coming on board as senior defensive assistant/defensive line coach. Roy Anderson will be the cornerbacks coach, Joe Kasper the safeties coach, and Bobby King the inside linebackers coach.

Some of last year's coaching team are still around, with Jeremiah Washburn keeping his job as defensive ends/outside linebackers coach. Assistant head coach and running backs coach Jemal Singleton is also staying put, along with Kevin Patullo, Jeff Stoutland, Jason Michael, Aaron Moorehead, and Eric Dickerson.

In other news, Ronell Williams and Tyler Scudder have new jobs as assistant linebackers/defensive quality control coach and defensive quality control coach. T.J. Paganetti has also been named as the new run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach.

After the Eagles' playoff exit, there was a lot of talk about Sirianni's job as head coach, especially with big names like Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel waiting to step in. But the 42 year old is ready to show what he can do in the new season.

"In my mind, you better believe I'm thinking, 'How do I re-prove myself?'" Sirianni said in January. "I was a young coach that Mr. [Jeff] Lurie and Howie [Roseman] and this organisation trusted to give the job to. I had to prove to myself that this guy could lead the organisation like they asked me to. I had to prove myself from then."
