Piles of raw meat has been dumped on a quiet residential road nearly daily for more than six weeks - leaving locals "disgusted".
Gayton Close and Liddel Close in Luton, Bedfordshire has seen regular dumps of the discarded off-cuts of meat since the beginning of January - initially finding them left in the area in blue carrier bags but later being left exposed under cardboard. Residents say that they do not know who is behind the fly-tipping of the meat including chicken legs strewn over grass on the quiet road.
Christine Williams, of the area's Tenants and Residents Association, said: "It's just disgusting, it makes me feel really ill." Ms Williams praised the council for their response to each report of the tipping - but added she wanted them to catch the culprits.
The local woman said: "Why don't they take it to a farm and feed it to a pig instead of dumping it? Why dump meat when they can get rid of it properly?"
