Love Island's first look of 2023 has landed - and it involves a major bombshell twist.

Tonight will see a role reversal as the girls pick their favourite boys, which is set to spark some serious awkwardness.

First to arrive at the plush South African villa are the boys - Shaq, Haris, Will, Ron and Kai. Just as they get chatting, host Maya Jama makes her grand entrance in a helicopter.

As they all gather around the firepit, Maya asks: "Is everyone excited, be honest, how many press ups did we do this morning?"

“I’d say at least 75," Shaq replies.

Asked whether he's got a type, he replies: "“Not specifically, I go for more personality and vibes but she’s definitely got to be funny, funny is top of my list, I love it.”

Kai adds: "I am looking for a wifey.”

Will says: "I wanna settle down, I think it’s time to bring a girl back, introduce them to the animals."

Haris admits, "I’ve never been in a relationship” while Ron says: "For me it’s all about if they are nice girl.”

As the boys join Maya by the pool, the host says: “Well boys, it is time to couple up, the girls will come in one by one and I’ll ask you to step forward if you fancy them. Each girl will then decide which boy she wants to couple up with. It’s that simple. So who’s ready to meet our first girl?”

As each of the girls make their entrances, it's time for the boys to step forward for who they fancy and the girls to pick who they want to couple up with.

Once all the couples have been formed, Maya says: “We now have five lovely couples but will you stay together or will your heads be turned?”

Soon, a bombshell enters the villa - but which one will it be and whose heads will be turned?
