Melt away silicone sealant mould with ingredient that 'works better than bleach'
If you struggle with pesky mould in your bathroom seals - you're not alone.
Banishing the brown and black mould lurking in the bathroom can be a real pain. This usually happens thanks to the moisture and humidity in a bathroom, but instead of reaching for the bleach, there's another product that cleaners hail as the best for removing it.
If silicone sealants aren't cleaned regularly, the build-up of black mould can worsen and spread until action is taken - but the Cillit Bang Mould remover is what the professionals reach for.
One cleaning fan took to the popular Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips page on Facebook to ask others what they use to remove mould. Explaining they were struggling with a build-up of mould, they asked if the product was worth it and if it was safe to use and wrote: "Has anyone used this product? I want to get rid of some mould on the silicone sealant around the base of my shower. Will it damage the sealant?"
The brand claims that the product "removes 100 per cent of mould from most surfaces in just a few seconds" and it appeared people in the group were fans of it. With over 150 responses, most people raved about the effectiveness of it. One Facebook user wrote: "Yes! The best product ever for mould. I do mine and am very happy with it," while a second said it's better than bleach and added: "It's the best thing to use, swear it works better than bleach."

"I've used it and my sealant was totally fine. It's fantastic stuff. It sorted my bathroom out no bother," another chimed, and a third penned: "Works wonders. Spray and leave for 10 minutes and then wipe." Another hailed the product as you don't need to scrub and said: "We use this, it's fantastic. Just spray on and leave no need to scrub."
