A 72-year-old gran has died after she was hit by a car at a bowling club in Burnley.
Lynne Harvey was struck by a Vauxhall in the car park of Greenhill Social and Bowling Club on Manchester Road on Tuesday. The emergency services arrived shortly before 6pm and she was taken to hospital, but later died. A pedestrian was hurt in the crash too.
Her family have paid tribute to her. They said: "She had strength. A true fighter until the end. She always looked after, loved, and cared for her children. She loved, talked about, and adored her grandchildren, never failing to mention them. A loving and caring friend. A tragic loss to us all. She will be remembered for as long as we live. We will hold the fond memories in our hearts. Miss you forever."
The police still want people to come forward if they know anything about the crash between the Vauxhall and two people walking in the car park of Greenhill Social and Bowling Club, Manchester Road, Burnley.
Emergency services were called to Greenhill Social and Bowling Club (Google)Sgt Martin Wilcock, from the Lancashire Road Policing Unit, said: "A woman has died in very tragic circumstances and our thoughts are with her loved ones at this time. Our investigation into the exact circumstances which led to the collision are continuing and I would ask anyone with information or footage to make contact with us as soon as possible."

A 74-year-old man from Burnley was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
