Netflix 's latest true crime documentary has fans gobsmacked after they watched it.

Lover, Stalker, Killer was released on February 9 and follows the story of a jealous ex who stalks and torments her former lover. The documentary includes interviews with Dave Kroupa, the stalked ex, and the investigators who worked on the case.

Though the documentary is only 90 minutes long, it's jam-packed with twists and turns. One Twitter user wrote: "If y'all haven't seen Lover Stalker Killer on Netflix yet boyyy are y'all in for a treat."

In the movie, it's revealed that Shanna "Liz" Gikyar got a life sentence in 2017 for murdering Cari Farver five years before. She was able to avoid capture by pretending to be Cari for four years.

Dave thought Cari was the one stalking him, while it was Liz all along. He met Liz on a dating app in 2012 and were on and off for a bit until he met Cari when she walked into his auto repair shop in Iowa.

Cari and Dave dated for two weeks until she seemingly "broke up" with him over text. It was actually Liz using her phone, having stabbed Cari to death.

Liz kept up the ruse pretending to be Cari for years as she kept her victim's social media profiles active online. Cari didn't show up to her father's funeral or her son's 15th birthday party throughout that time, which seemingly didn't raise any red flags.

She was only caught when police found a photo on her tablet of what appeared to be a decomposing and tied-up body. To further cement her guilt, another photo showed a foot that had a Chinese symbol tattooed which matched one that Cari had.

In the first two days of the documentary being on the streaming service, it amassed over 10 million views. Fans on Twitter are urging others to watch it.

"Can everyone please watch Lover Stalker Killer on Netflix it's bizarre and creepy," one fan wrote on Twitter. Another added: "Lover, Stalker, Killer on Netflix is a wild documentary. Highly recommend."
