Married At First Sight's Peggy 'heartbroken' as she announces split from Georges
Married At First Sight star Peggy Rose revealed she and Georges Berthonneau have broken up.
The E4 reality star took to her social media page to announce the news to her 206,000 followers. She said: "I'm so sorry I've been quiet on socials everybody but there's a reason for my silence. Me and Georges are no longer together and I'm absolutely heartbroken.
"It's affected my mental health and it's taken me weeks to come to terms with it but with it being Valentine's Day, I can't pretend to be OK. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our journey... Nobody is more upset about it than me x." Not long after Peggy shared her statement, Georges took to his page to admit he was shocked by the announcement.
He wrote on his Stories: "Wasn't expecting a statement from Peggy regarding this situation. I'm heartbroken by our breakup and also trying to come to terms with life without Peggy. I appreciate a lot of you have questions but I won't be talking about this situation as of yet. Also thank you for the messages of support."

They went through a rollercoaster ride of a relationship before deciding they wanted to be together. In the beginning, Peggy wasn't too keen on Georges when he opened up about his love for gaming. He had to dampen his playful side to win her over. And after their disastrous homestay episode, where Georges stayed with her family in Kent, it seemed clear their marriage did not stand a chance as her family took an immediate dislike to him.

However, the emotional vow renewal saw Peggy choose her romance with Georges over her parents' less than favourable opinions and the pair embarked on a relationship in the outside world. They returned to the show for a reunion dinner party in November and admitted they still didn't have sex despite the show being filmed months before.
During a chat with friends Laura and Roz, they were asked about their intimate relationship. Peggy confessed that they hadn't yet been intimate, saying she was "waiting for the right person." This revelation left viewers gobsmacked, with many taking to social media to express their surprise.
"They still haven't done it after all the time in the experiment + 6 weeks after #MAFSUK!!" one fan exclaimed. "Peggy and Georges still not consummating their 'marriage' six weeks after the show because she's waiting for the "right person"...it's not looking good brev #MAFSU," another warned.
