Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have launched a brand new website titled Sussex.com, with it now being claimed that the Royal Family could fully strip the couple of their royal titles.

The couple's new website, which is rumoured to have "gone down terribly" at Buckingham Palace, was launched overnight and followed on from the launch of their SussexRoyal.com website a few years ago in 2020.

On the couple's website, it states that they are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with biographies about both Harry and Meghan's backstories, which could "provoke complaints from the Palace".

In 2020, when the couple stepped down as senior working royals, Harry and Meghan agreed to stop the use of HRH, but kept their titles of Duke and Duchess. At the time, the Palace said: "The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."

But since the launch of their new website, fresh calls for them to be stripped of their Sussex titles have exploded on social media. And according to a new GB News video on YouTube, the couple could be "stripped" of their titles.

Speaking to MailOnline, as per the aforementioned video, one source said: "They are going to have real trouble with the use of Sussex. It is a royal title and if there is any hint of commercialism about this it will be shut down. It's just staggering they cannot see how gauche it is."

Meanwhile, royal expert and author Angela Levin told The Sun that "Queen Elizabeth II would be furious because they promised they wouldn't do that [cash in on their titles]." She also added: "They should be stopped from using a title that they spent years insulting."

This comes after royal commentator Michael Cole spoke to TalkTV hosts Kevin O’Sullivan and Alex Phillips on CrossTalk. Chatting about the new website the Sussexes have launched, he said; "This will have gone down terribly badly at Buckingham Palace.

"We’re not quite sure how they intend to use this new website but it will be watched very very closely because any attempt to use it for commercial purposes will be frowned upon certainly in this country. It’s certainly just not on and it’s not what you do.

"I think it’s another example of them being slightly tin-eared. If they want to build bridges, this is possibly the worst possible way they could do it, and it won’t go down well."
