Liverpool handed injury boost as unlikely Kylian Mbappe transfer hint dropped
Liverpool got their Premier League title challenge back on track with a comfortable win over struggling Burnley on Saturday.
Their focus will now be on upcoming games against Brentford and Luton Town, though boss Jurgen Klopp will have at least half on eye on the Carabao Cup final in just under a fortnight. As he builds up to that game, the Reds manager has been handed a major injury boost.
Though rather than one of his players returning, it is news out of opponents Chelsea that will please the German. That news comes as Virgil van Dijk insisted his side were enjoying the challenge of this year's title race.
And though he is leaving, Klopp may also be able to help push a blockbuster move for Kylian Mbappe over the line as Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti hinted his side will not be bringing in the Frenchman. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Liverpool news.
Klopp handed injury boost

As they prepare for that game, Liverpool have received the boost that Chelsea will be without Benoit Bashiadile. The French defender picked up a groin injury in the FA Cup win over Aston Villa last week.
The centre-back is now expected to be sidelined for up to a month, putting him out of the clash against Liverpool at Wembley. Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino will now likely be forced to bring Thiago Silva back into the team after dropping him following the defeat to Wolves.
