Getting cheated can be completely devastating, and for one woman it was something she never saw coming.
Rose and her husband Matt spent a lot of time apart as he was often forced to travel for work, but she says he always tried to make it up to her. Although she loved having time to herself, she started to miss being with him when he was off on business trips.
One day she returned home to find a bouquet of lilies waiting for her with a note to say 'Love Matt x', who was in Singapore at the time but all wasn't as it seemed.
When she video-called him, he asked where the flowers had come from, and assuming he was joking she replied: "I love them, although you do normally buy roses for Rose."
Explaining that he had forgotten, Rose laughed it off and when Matt returned home he broke the bad news that once a month he would have to spend a week in Singapore as part of a new role. She was confident they would make it work and he thanked her for being so understanding, as written by Whimn.

After the new job began and Matt was away with work, Rose got a video call from him one night but the screen was blank. Assuming that he had pocket-dialed her, Rose heard a woman say "You're hilarious" before Matt invited her back to his room.
When the connection was lost, she frantically tried to call him back, but he messaged to say he was working late at the office. Ringing her friend for advice, she was told to find more facts before jumping to any conclusions.
Looking at one of his old phone bills, she found a number he had been in regular contact with and searched it on Facebook, which linked to a woman named Lily.
There were photos of her with Matt all over her profile and the penny dropped. "Lilies for Lily," she said. "They weren't meant for me." She moved all of her things out and ignored his calls, before leaving a final message for him on his return.
Filling the bedroom they had shared with lilies, she left a single rose on her side of the bed with a note tucked underneath reading: "From your old flower to your new."
She only spoke to Matt to finalise the divorce and he's never known how she discovered his affair.
