Dancing On Ice contestants are facing extra jeopardy this weekend as a cruel twist will bring down the curtain on a pairing that previously may have thought they were safe.
The ITV ice skating show has revealed that there will be a double elimination which will no doubt leave stars nervous ahead of Sunday night's show. The couple receiving the lowest score will leave the competition immediately without the last-chance saloon of the skate-off to give them a chance to save their time on the show. The celebrities will be out to impress as the score will be the amalgamation of the judge's verdicts and the public vote.

Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern return to present Dancing On Ice tomorrow (Kieron McCarron/ITV/REX/Shutterstock)The next two couples at the bottom of the leaderboard will be asked to skate off for their future in the competition with the judges, Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabus, Jayne Torville, and Christopher Dean, given the opportunity to say who they would save for another chance. One person who has been feeling the pressure of the skating competition has been actor Ryan Thomas, who made his name as Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street.
Ryan has turned to brother Adam, who took part in Strictly Come Dancing, to help get him through it and said: "My body's just fatigued. You have days like this. It's hard sometimes to be up there constantly energy-wise. We know showtime's coming, we know that we've got all that energy to put into Sunday.
"So this is the sort of time where I'll have a little bit of downtime. It kicks in during the week because I feel like at the moment where I'm in my routine, I'm 70%. And it's just I don't walk away from the session going, 'Wow, that was amazing'. And it gets you down a little bit. I've seen it before. It's a yo-yo effect.

"One minute you're up, one minute down. And you just caught me on one of the moments where it's like… I’m not down on myself, just fatigued, overthinking things, and wanting things to be great. It's just the midweek blues.
"It's very hard to get it right all the time. And I hate watching videos back and seeing my feet and my hands and my positioning. And yeah, it annoys me when I watch things back. But I was happy with the performance on the show, so I've got to take something away from it. Watching that back, it made me a little bit proud of myself that I got through the first show with not much slip-ups. I knew there was a lot more wrong with it than maybe the public did. But I'm the hardest critic. I want perfect, and it never is."
