Holly Willoughby loves cooking for her family - and 'filling them with goodness' is at the top of her priorities.

The Dancing on Ice host turns 43 today (February 10th) and will grace our screens tonight as the ITV ice dancing competition continues. Holly will no doubt wow in one of her many glitzy and glamorous outfits that she wears on the show, and with her enviable physique catching the eye of many, it's no wonder so many of us are dying to know what she eats to stay in such good shape.

It turns out Holly is a keen chef at home and loves rustling up meals for her husband Dan Baldwin and their children, Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, eight. And she always makes sure they eat healthy and balanced dinners, as she once said her prerogative is to fill her children with "goodness".

In an interview with Asda Living magazine, she explained: "I want to fill them with goodness and make sure they don't snack between meals. I like them to try new things, like crab and cockles. But I love a processed cheese slice myself, so I can't be that militant about nutrition."

So, what does the former This Morning presenter eat on a typical day? When she was presenting the daytime show she would often have to get up early for work, so eating a healthy breakfast to kickstart her day was paramount. She's said to enjoy yoghurt, granola, and berries for a morning meal.

For dinner, she's said to stick to low-carb diets whenever she can and loves tucking into fish and veggies. However, she doesn't ban herself from the occasional treat, either. She makes sure to still enjoy the foods she loves most, and often shares snaps on Instagram of her delicious-looking plates of pizza, fondue, and cakes.

While her celebrity status means she gets to go to lots of fancy restaurants, when she's cooking for the family, her go-to treats are said to be mac 'n cheese or spaghetti bolognese.

Between meals, Holly snacks just like the rest of us. But you won't find her gorging on a chocolate bar for her mid-afternoon treat, as she's much more likely to be spotted with some hummus, or the food you'll "never see her without" - mango. A source previously told The Mirror: "Holly is determined to keep her new-look body so she eats chicken, carrots and hummus. You'll never see her without a pack of mango either, to satisfy her sweet tooth."

And Holly is also partial to the occasional tipple after a hard day's work, with her go-to drinks being fizz and cocktails. We've famously seen a few of her hangovers live on TV - including the time she presented This Morning after a full night of partying at the NTAs, without even having had time to change out of her dress.

Holly also admitted having the "worst hangover of 2020" during lockdown. During an interview with her pal Keith Lemon, she said: "I haven't stopped, I literally clock watch like - is it time for an Aperol Spritz yet? The trouble is you've got your own bottle of wine and you're sitting there doing this [mimes pouring wine]. It's not like you've got to go to the bar. I woke up on Sunday morning, it was like my worst hangover of 2020."
