A bride -to-be has been criticised online after she demanded her bridesmaid, who is also her partner's sister, to change her skin colour for the wedding. The woman, who remained anonymous, shared her frustration on Facebook and it was later reposted in a group called 'That's it, I'm wedding shaming...'.

She wrote: "Okay this is going to make me out to sound like a bridezilla but I swear I'm not. My fiance's sister is one of my bridesmaids, I love her so much but she's a brat. If something doesn't go exactly how she wants she then acts like a two-year-old."

She further explained that her future sister-in-law has very fair skin, which she believes will clash with her and the other bridesmaids at the wedding. She added: "She refuses to get a spray tan, which I know sounds crazy. She's so pale she looks sick, like sick sick. She's not afraid of the tan looking bad, she just refuses to get one."

"My sisters are also my bridesmaids and they tan like me, and one of my girls who doesn't get dark in the summer said she'd definitely get a spray tan for me. My wedding is in August so you would think she'd want to be a little more brown but no. If she doesn't get one she will be glowing in all the pictures next to me and the other girls. What do I do?"

People were shocked by the bride's demands. One person said: "Imagine policing your bridal party's skin color." Another commented: "As a 'glowing' girl myself, I would not get a spray tan for you either. I look ridiculous with a tan. I am literally made to look exactly like I do, thank you very much. People have different skin colors, Imagine!" A third added: "Asking for a spray tan at all is bridezilla. That's ridiculous. Do they all have to match skin tones? What will she do if a person who tans easily gets darker than the spray-tanned people?"
