Prince Harry is set to attend an Invictus Games launch event in Canada next week after fears he would miss out due to his dad's ill health.

However, the Duke of Sussex's UK trip lasted little more than a day as he visited King Charles following his cancer diagnosis. Now, it appears Harry is back on track to head to the three-day event - and could even have cameras alongside him.

It's been reported Harry could be looking to secure a TV deal for the Games following his Heart of Invictus docuseries. It's claimed he has already hired a sports TV executive who has previously overseen live coverage of big sporting events such as the Olympics and the World Cup.

The move, if correct, has been praised by a PR to the celebs, who believes it would be a "logical" and "perfect" decision. Jane Owen told us: "I think it would be a great move on his part to make the most out of his position and relationship with The Invictus Games. It's a great project that he's got a lot of knowledge about and genuine passion for.

"The Games have a great track record and given the worldwide passion for sports and competition there's a guaranteed audience for the games if they are broadcast at a high level. The potential for the project is enormous and i think it would be the perfect job for Harry and the logical next step for the Games."

She continued: "Additionally I'm sure there are some amazing personal stories of the athletes that compete in the Games. The fact that they are wounded veterans is so inspiring. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some real life stories that would be great movies. I'd be shocked if there weren't. That might be a great way to bring Harry’s passion for the Games and his wife’s passion for entertainment together."

It is thought Harry and Meghan's lucrative contract with Netflix is under pressure before it expires next year. It's unknown whether the streaming giants will renew the contract, but earlier this month one of the company's big bosses announced there are still more projects in the pipeline.

There had been a number of rumours the Duke and Duchess might hop ships and join with Paramount Pictures after they met CEO Brian Robbins at the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Jamaica. However, Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria has put a stop to the rumours, explaining at an event in Hollywood that the company has "a bunch in development" with Harry and Meghan.
