Holly Willoughby reunited with her This Morning co-star after quitting the show last year.

The Dancing on Ice star enjoyed a cosy night with chef Clodagh McKenna as the pair enjoyed a yummy meal together. On Wednesday, Clodagh shared an insight into their catch-up following Holly's dramatic exit from This Morning.

Showing that despite Holly's exit, their friendship remains strong, Holly reposted a picture of the night from Clodagh's Instagram. The Dancing on Ice presenter captioned the post: "Dreamy evening...thank you @clodagh_mckenna."

Clodagh's original post showed a selection of gorgeous-looking desserts with the words: "Hot chocolate puddings at home... with my beautiful girls @imedaoffical @hollywilloughby @shishib." Clodagh has been part of This Morning's team for a number of years.

She's often seen in the This Morning kitchen rustling up dishes for the presenters of the day. Clodagh has also often been sent out on location to film cooking features for the ITV programme. Their cosy night-in comes four months after Holly quit This Morning as she revealed she needed to put her family first after an alleged kidnap threat. At the time, she wrote: "“I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.

“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.

“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day. Richard and Judy said, ‘We only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers'. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much."

Holly's long-time co-host Phillip Schofield was forced to step down from ITV after admitting he'd lied about an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a former younger colleague. Holly told This Morning viewers she had felt "shaken and let down" after Phillip revealed he'd lied to his co-host when she confronted him.

This Morning has been co-hosted by a series of different presenters since the duo's departure but the Mirror recently revealed that Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard will take on the reigns as the permanent replacement for Holly and Phillip.
