We all love a McDonald's every now and then - especially when we're getting it for a bargain.

However, it's no secret the price of a Maccies has risen over the past few years, all thanks to inflation and the cost of living crisis. So people are looking for bargains where they can - including foodie Becky Koch who managed to get not one, but two meals for just 80p. Thrilled with her haul, the McDonald's fan shared her secret trick to getting two full meals for under £1 with fellow bargain hunters on the group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

She shared a snap of the two burgers, a portion of chips, a drink and a coffee and wrote: "Best bargains for today," and added: "If you get the McDonald's reward app, use it. This cost me 80p altogether."

It meant Becky was able to pick up a Big Mac with fries and a hot drink, as well as a Quarter Pounder and a cold drink. Usually, a Big Mac meal will cost £6.69, a Quarter Pounder with cheese is £4.99 and a medium drink is 99p which meant she should have paid £12.67 instead of just 80p and saved £11.87 all thanks to her McDonald's rewards app.

She then said she'd taken her mum out for a quick bite to eat and it "definitely saves a few pounds" and that her mum was happy with it. The post caught the attention of other bargain hunters in the group as people were shocked at how cheap her food was - with some not believing her.

One user penned: "80p for all that? Doubt it," to which Becky hit back and wrote: "Clearly you can’t read then, I mentioned the rewards app which means you can get stuff on the app cheaper." Meanwhile, another commented: "Great bargain," and a fellow member of the group chimed: "Nice one Becky, good way to start the day."

It seemed as if many people were already big fans of the app and shared their deals. One McDonald's fan wrote: "Love the rewards app had so many free breakfasts because of it," and a second shared: "The McDonald app is great, I got six nuggets, a double cheeseburger, small fries, small Sprite and a tea for £1.49 yesterday."

While a third echoed: "I've used this quite a few times too. Usually when we take the kids to get their happy meals then get mine out of the rewards! Saves us a bit!"
