Fortnite's newest major collab is the second wave of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with skins for the villainous Shredder and master Splinter set to arrive this week.

Fortnite update 28.20 has finally arrived, following some downtime earlier today, with updates coming to across the core Battle Royale and Zero Build modes, as well as the other games Lego Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. And while the update didn't focus on the original mode too much, Epic Games has added a brand new section to the Fortnite homepage, with a countdown.

This countdown is, of course, leading up to a Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event later this week, with a Shredder Skin being the main focus of the event. There are also, apparently,y going to be new mythic items and POI's based on the show, but you'll have to wait a bit longer for it to launch.

Fortnite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event start date

The Fortnite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event start date is Friday, February 9 at 2pm GMT / 9am EST / 6am PST. So far, Epic Games hasn't officially confirmed what the event will entail, but based on previous crossovers like the Star Wars and Jujutsu Kaisen events from 2023, we'd imagine it's going to involve an event pass with some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed missions, with the Shredder skin being available to those who complete the pass.

Thanks to Fortnite leaker @HYPEX posting on Twitter, we do know about some more things coming to the Fortnite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, including the following:

If I had to guess, the new Vehicle for the collab has to be the iconic Turtle Van, and the weapons will undoubtedly be some variant of the main four turtles' weapons. That or the Shredder's claws considering this event seems to be based around him. One of the items we have seen through leaks is a Back Bling featuring everyone's favourite brain in a jar Krang, which is sure to be a staple of my in-game look going forward.
