MAFS UK's JJ Slater blanks co-stars texts over whirlwind Katie Price romance
Married At First Sight star JJ Slater has remained silent after his co-stars reached out to him amid his new relationship with Katie Price.
Former glamour model Katie, 45, began her relationship with a flurry of text messages and it now seems that the mum-of-five is smitten with MAFS star JJ. However, the reality TV star has apparently failed to tell his co-stars and pals of his new romance.
JJ shot to fame on the E4 show last year when he tied the knot with Bianca Petronzi but realised quickly that the blonde bombshell wasn't his "usual" type. After sharing instant chemistry with Bianca's fellow bride, Ella Morgan, JJ's head was turned and his and Ella's relationship sent shockwaves through the experiment.

Upon entering the experiment, JJ told the experts that he was in search of a more natural look in a girl, but after laying eyes on Ella - who was the first ever transgender contestant on Married At First Sight - JJ couldn't help his feelings.
Although the pair tried their best to make things work, it wasn't meant to be, and at final vows, both Ella and JJ revealed they thought they were better off as friends. During the reunion, Ella and JJ still seemed incredibly close as they were seen laughing and gushing over one another. However, after JJ's romance with former glamour model Katie Price has come to light, Ella was recently seen looking glum as she stepped out after hearing the shock news.

JJ and Katie were spotted "getting cosy" at Bobby’s Bar in Newcastle last week and following the news of the two growing closer, Ella was pictured looking downcast as she met up with co-star Tasha Jay. She kept it relaxed in white joggers, an NYC sweatshirt and a leather jacket. Ella accessorised with a Chanel purse and covered her face with a pair of black sunglasses. She also styled half her hair into a high ponytail. The reality star seemed to be in a serious conversation on the phone as she walked to her destination.

Ella previously dated JJ (PA)Now, Married At First Sight star Laura Vaughan, 34, has revealed that she was still very close with JJ up until "recently". Laura, who became a huge hit with viewers when she tied the knot with Arthur Poremba on the E4 show, revealed that she reached out to JJ after seeing his new romance in the headlines - but her co-star has yet to reply to her messages.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Laura admitted that she "doesn't really know anything" about it after hearing about their alleged romance in the headlines. "I've not heard anything from JJ about it. I had to find out through the press. I tried to message him but haven't heard anything back from him about it," she explained.
"If they are a couple, then that's great. I hope they're both happy with one another," Laura added after she added that she's still incredibly close to Ella. "I'm really good friends with Ella, Tasha (Jay), Shona (Manderson), and I regularly speak to Arthur. I was friends with JJ up until recently," she added.
Laura's confession comes as JJ and Katie are reportedly growing even closer following the former glamour model's split from now estranged fiancé, Carl Woods. Of JJ and Katie's special bond, an insider previously told The Sun: "They’ve met a few times and are texting each other constantly. She’s really into him - this is the first man she’s actually been interested in since Carl.”

Earlier this month, Katie and JJ enjoyed Newcastle's cut-price drinks, drag acts and karaoke. A fellow partygoer told us: “He came in after her and they sat together for at least an hour. They looked very cosy together, especially when she rested her arm on his shoulder.”
Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, the former glamour model said that she was pleased to be getting back to her old self. She said: "Like Princess said, 'Oh, mum, you look nice in what you're wearing' I said 'What do you mean?' [and she said] 'Well you're just not always in your tracksuits'. I'm like, well, I'm making an effort now because I'm allowed to wear and do what I want. And I am, and I've got time to do it."
